Elder Jeffrey Gravely is a native of Martinsville, VA, and is the youngest son born to Lewis Gravely and Shirley Martin.  On February 4, 2007, he married Toni R. Hairston Gravely.

 

Elder Gravely is a 1996 graduate of Laurel Park High School (Martinsville, VA), a 2002 graduate of Patrick Henry Community College (Martinsville, VA), and a 2007 graduate of Liberty University (Lynchburg, VA).

 

Elder Gravely has been very active in church ministry since his conversion in 1984, under the leadership of Dr. Roer J. Morrison, Pastor of Mt. Olive United Holy Church in Martinsville, VA.  It was under Dr. Morrison’s leadership that Elder Gravely began his ministry and preached his first sermon in February 2001.  He has served as President of the Young Peoples Holy Association, Coordinator of Black History Programs, President of Pastor’s Aide, Missionary Dept., Usherboard, and the list goes on.

 

In 2005, Elder Gravely moved his membership to the Assembly Chapel Progressive Primitive Baptist Church in Cascade, VA, where he served as the Associate Minister.  In April 2006, he received his Certificate of Ordination from the Mt. Sinai Progressive Primitive Baptist Association.  On November 13, 2010, Dr. Gravely was ordained as Pastor of Chestnut Ridge Progressive Primitive Baptist Church in Mt. Airy, NC.

 

Elder Gravely is employed by Smith Adult Care Facility, in addition to working as a private duty nurse.

 

Elder Gravely’s hobbies include walking, shopping, poetry, bowling, and golf.

 

It is Elder Gravely’s daily prayer that God will take him down to the potter’s house and shape, make, and mold him into the person that he is called to be in these last and evil days.
